Our organization collaborated with Kimolistes ngo, after receiving funding from the J F Costopoulos Foundation to organize the “StoryTelling Waves” Workshops that took place in 6 Cycladic Islands.
This is part of Agatha Rodi’s pilot initiative to make known the common
elements that unify the Cyclades, having as a starting point Kimolos
Island. Through her book «A Young Kimolistas» (link), the young learners had the chance to familiarise with the terms of«sustainability», «environmental issues», poseidonia meadows», «cultural heritage», with the use of Storytelling techniques.
The target is to gather info from students and their islands so a book
written by the young learners, participating in the program, to emerge as a means to sensibilize and keep track of each island’s traditions and
customs.
