Preserving Kimolos’ Medieval Heritage through RESILIAGE

Cyclades Unified participates in the European program RESILIAGE (HORIZON EUROPE) as a CORE Associated Lab, together with nine organizations from Austria, Slovenia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain. On 12/3/2025, the **Medieval Castle of Kimolos**, its churches, and the landscaping by local volunteers were presented to the head of Core Labs, Ms. Farzaneh Allakbari, and the CoreDnet lead, Ms. Sofia Darbesio.

The program aims to promote collective memory and preserve cultural heritage. Cyclades Unified, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kimolos and the Cyclades Ephorate of Antiquities, works to restore and highlight the Castle and its churches, while raising awareness about weather phenomena and climate change, strengthening the resilience of the local community.
